Are they obsessed with peek-a-boo? Love a specific song? Or maybe dad has a funny sound they can’t get enough of. Bring those go-to tricks!

Neutral nail polish or clean, natural nails look polished without distracting from the photos.
Dads, empty those pockets—no visible keys, wallets, or phones. And skip the Apple Watch! Keeping accessories minimal keeps the focus on your family.
4. Have a Last-Resort Trick Handy
Load a favorite show or song onto your phone. Sometimes holding it close to my camera can help bring a hesitant little one out of their shell. (Yes, I’ve even used this trick with my own daughter!)
