I don't know about you, but this week *really* kicks off the holiday season for us! Over the past few days, Hattie and I have been working to put together boo bags for some of her little friends in the neighborhood (and their parents)!

I wanted to come up with something easy and fun that worked with Hattie's two-year-old attention span. I found a Halloween Rice Krispies ghost pop set at Aldi, and it was the perfect activity for us. She thought it was so fun to fill the ghost molds, which ended up serving as an impromptu lesson in hygienic baking, the importance of giving to others, and why we shouldn't eat six whole ghost pops. I picked up the mini Play-Doh at Aldi, too, and threw in a little boo-ze for the adults.

Hattie used her dot markers to decorate the bags before we painted her hand to make the ghost, and she is so excited to go and surprise her friends when she wakes up from her nap!

Next up this week:

  • Halloween week at Wonderscope
  • Pumpkin painting
  • Watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" & "Room on the Broom"
  • Reading ALLLL of our Halloween books. Hattie's current favs are "Spooky Pooky" and "Eek Halloween"
  • Halloween scavenger hunt
  • Trick-or-treating

Have a Happy Halloween week, friends!

Love, Meredith
