I am still over the moon about my day at the HERLIFE Magazine event hosted by the Pink Dinosaur boutique at GOEX! It was so amazing to be surrounded by local women supporting other local women! Elle, the owner of the Pink Dinosaur, is so inspiring! I loved listening to her story and love her mission, heart, and spark even more!
The Pink Dinosaur is partnered with The Global Orphan Project whose mission is to strengthen families through job creation, education, and community support. Through their fair trade apparel company, GOEX print + apparel, The Global Orphan Project provides strong jobs that improve the lives of the workers and communities in Haiti and in Kansas City with the goal to break the orphan cycle through the dignity of work.
EVERY shirt purchased from the Pink Dinosaur supports this incredible charity! AND all of GOEX's apparel is ethically made from recycled materials certified by the Fair Trade Federation. I mean, HOW AMAZING IS THAT? I left with the fullest heart and even deeper drive to give back.

Safehome– A women's domestic violence shelter in Overland Park whose mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence and partner abuse for victims and their children by providing shelter, advocacy, counseling, and prevention education in our community.
I'm looking forward to adding The Global Orphan Project to this list by attending The Big Event on Saturday, August 28 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
