Welcoming a new addition to the family is one of the most precious moments in life. The first few weeks after birth are a blur of sleepless nights, endless diaper changes and feedings, and an indescribable love that fills the heart. My main goal before, during, and after each session is to make sure each and every single one of my mamas is completely cared for. Here is what you can expect during your Kansas City newborn photography session with Meredith Maag Photography:
before
- Complimentary consultation to ensure all of the details are planned. Your family's unique rhythm is taken into consideration when we schedule your time and location. We will also choose the perfect location and style your entire family from the studio wardrobe, my shoppable style guide, your own closet, or a combination of the three! We will also chat about hair and makeup and the type of artwork you wish to create for your family.
- By the end of our call, every single detail of our time together will be planned out, so on the day of your session, you don't have to worry about a thing!
During
- If scheduled, hair and make up services will start 45m-1.5h before your session time.
- During your session, I am completely baby led! So, if baby needs to eat, baby eats! Same if baby needs changed, older siblings need a break/snack, etc!
- A newborn session typically lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on each family's needs and baby's demeanor that day! I will take as long as we need to ensure we bring your vision discussed on our call to life!
after
- Turnaround times for galleries is approximately 3 weeks
- I will reach out to schedule your choice of an in-person or virtual gallery reveal.
- During your reveal, you will see your images for the first time and make your digital image and artwork selections.
- If paid in full, digital files are released immediately; custom artwork can take up to 6 weeks.
